Installing GIology
- Make sure no other applications are running†
- Insert CD – Some systems will automatically run the set up program. If the CD does not automatically install, proceed to step 3 otherwise proceed to step 5.
- Click Start, then click Run
- In the open box, type D:/setup.exe (D is the CD drive – if your CD drive is a different letter, type that instead). Click OK.
- Click Install
- When installation is complete, click Close – a desktop icon and a start menu icon will be created, and the program will run for the first time
- The software is now installed on your system
- To access the GIology system, login details are:
Username: admin
Password: giology
† Some anti virus packages may interfere with installation of this software
Minimum computer specifications
You may experience performance issues or be unable to load this software if your computer is below the minimum computer specifications. Only specified systems are supported.
Minimum specification
Operating system – Windows 98 min (see note 1)
RAM – 128Mb
Processor speed – 300 MHz (see note 2)
Free hard disk space – 100MB
Screen resolution – 1024 x 768
Please note:
1. The latest Service Packs should be installed which are freely available from the Microsoft.com website
2. Intel Pentium, AMD K6/Athlon, or compatible processor recommended
Whilst a computer of minimum specification will be able to run our software, performance cannot be guaranteed as this is subject to factors beyond our control e.g. other software you have installed and are running may have a detrimental effect on performance.
Some functionality may be restricted if you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader v6 or above and Internet Explorer v5 or above.
